A new writing experiment, and a book preorder!

Dear Reader,

But first, here's a writing exercise that I've done most mornings lately and really enjoyed. Yes, even during book pre-launch activities! It's inspired by a story Ray Bradbury's Zen in the Art of Writing (February's book give-away).

The Word Association Game

Want to know the process that Ray Bradbury used to write most of his short stories (or so he says)? It involves using exploratory writing and a simple word game, finding associations between disconnected words or ideas.

The Writer's Process 10 Year Anniversary Edition releases next week. (Don't worry, I'll let you know when it's up and ready in all of the retailers.) If you're holding out for the audiobook, you'll need to wait another couple months. These things take time, and I am a finite, limited human!
